IT’S PIZZA WEEKEND in here! Porto has many fantastic Italian restaurants, so I decided to dedicate a whole newsletter to my favorite ones.
I know, I know! When Portugal is known for its fantastic food, why am I recommending Italian restaurants? But we need to diversify and enjoy everything that Porto has to offer.
So, for the weekend of March 19th, here are my suggestions.
[Restaurant] OKRA
From this list, Okra is the most recent one. The ambiance and the pizza, Milanese-style, are excellent. And the cherry on top - they have non-alcoholic cocktails. The Something Else is my favorite.
[Restaurant] MUTI
Excellent restaurant with great Napoletana-style pizza. Muti is my go-to pizza place whenever I want to order food delivery. Great quality.
[Restaurant] TERRAPLANA
I knew about Terraplana, but it never tempted me to stop by. But last year, I was in dire need to go outdoors, and I found out they had a fantastic backyard. I ended up going there very often, took family and friends, and if it’s true that I went for the backyard, I ended up staying for the fantastic pizza. And they have my favorite kombucha: Aquela Kombucha.
[Restaurant] IL FORNAIO 178
I have a couple of friends that LOVE Il Fornaio 178. I am a fan, too, especially of the garlic bread. If you go there, make sure you book a table. It’s always packed, as are the other restaurants.
[Restaurant] CASA D’ORO
Casa D’oro has been a Porto landmark for many years. The restaurant has a unique location, the house of the Arrábida Bridge architect. During the construction of the bridge, the architect lived there. Go there for the view and stay for the pizza.

That’s it for today. Enjoy the weekend, and let me know if you follow any of my suggestions.
