On Sunday evening, Lisbon celebrates “Os Santos”, the longest and happiest night in town. Because of that, I’ve decided to have an edition of this newsletter focus on Lisbon, and I asked my good friend Raquel Félix for some recommendations. Raquel is a Lisbon lover and a foodie, and she always takes me to the best restaurants. Her recommendations are always spot on.
So for the weekend of June 11th, Raquel and I recommend that you check:
[Wine] TERRAÇO EDITORIAL
“Restaurant, rooftop, bar, petiscaria, and a generous library of 190 wines, mostly from small producers, are common words written here, with purpose and taste: may Terraço Editorial be a contemporary, creative guild, the next reference of the wine culture.” Perfect for a wine glass after work.
[Park] JARDIM DO TOREL
Beautiful park close to Avenida da Liberdade with a fantastic view of downtown Lisbon. On the weekends, you’ll find lots of families there, enjoy the sunshine and views.
[Beer] CERVEJARIA MUSA
I’ve mentioned Cervejaria Musa before because they also have a place in Porto. Good beer and snacks are what you can look for.
[Bookshop] LER DEVAGAR
Whenever I go to Lisbon, this is a mandatory stop. One of the most beautiful bookshops in the world, it’s the perfect place for us to lose ourselves in the books.
[Restaurant] ZUNZUM GASTROBAR
The name by itself already makes me want there. And if Raquel recommends the food from Chef Marlene Vieira, I definitely want to go. From the pictures I saw, everything looks fantastic.
Lisbon has plenty to offer. From traditional restaurants to the trendiest cafes and bars, it is pretty hard to pick only a handful of places. I’m 100% sure these places won’t disappoint.
To end this newsletter, I couldn’t write a newsletter about Lisbon without mentioning my favorite cafés. Having a nice cappuccino or ice late at Hello Kristof, Fábrica Coffee Roasters, or Milkees is a must.
That’s it for now! Enjoy the weekend and the sunshine!
P.S. For the ones staying in Porto this weekend, please check Cultura em Expansão.
